London Branch was upgraded to branch status on 15 March 1993 from London Representative Office which was set up on 11 September 1990. Located in the UK, London Branch is administered under both UK regulations and EU regulations. In addition, the UK government signed IGA Model I with the US and therefore London Branch is obliged to follow the FATCA regulations as well. With respect to deposit protection, UK's Deposit Guarantee Scheme provides protection up to ￡85,000 for eligible deposits in the UK as of 30 January 2017.
