Notice for credit card application and use

Application:

  1. For foreign nationals, please provide required documents as follows: the latest tax withholding statement, other financial statements, a photocopy of passport, and a photocopy of valid Alien Resident Certificate etc. Additional supplementary documents may also be required according to the provisions of CHB. CHB reserves the right to authorize the application at its own discretion.

Card loss:

  1. To report a card lost or stolen, notify us by calling the 24-hour customer service hotline. A handling fee for reporting a lost or stolen card may occur according to our terms. For more details, please contact our 24-hour customer service hotline (02-412-2222 or 0800-365-889). CHB will notify the applicant of the following affairs by written notice or email: dispute resolution, revolving credit interest rates, fees, cardholder’s rights and privileges. Revolving Interest Rates:

  1. The revolving interest rates are divided into 6 grades between 8.63% and 15.00%. CHB will consider the cardholder's financial status, credit history, credit risk, and credit scores from other financial institutions (e.g. no delayed payment...etc.), providing all types of cardholders with different revolving interest rates, and reviewing the rates on a quarterly basis.

  1. The revolving interest rates are determined by cardholders’ credit scores, and are reviewed on a quarterly basis. 
  2. The base date of the revolving interest rates is on September 1, 2015. 

Dispute resolution:

  1. A credit card dispute over billing errors may result from charges for products or services that a cardholder ordered but never received. Cardholders may file credit card disputes on our website (https://www.bankchb.com) or via our 24-hour customer service hotline (02-412-2222 or 0800-365-889). 

Cardholder's rights:

  1. For more complete rights and services, please refer to our cardholder rights and benefits guide or our website ( https://www.bankchb.com). For the affairs not mentioned herein, please refer to our bank policies. CHB reserves the right to change or terminate cardholders’ rights and benefits.

Annual fees:

  1.   
    Infinite/World
    Primary Card: NT$10,000 for each. Supplementary Card: NT$5,000 for each. Annual fee for the first year is waived. Annual fee for the coming year is waived if the accumulated spending in the previous year has exceeded NT$200,000. 
    Business signature
    Primary Card: NT$2,000 for each. Supplementary Card: NT$1,000 for each. Annual fee for the first year is waived. Annual fee for the coming year is waived if the accumulated spending or usage in the previous year has exceeded NT$60,000 or 12 times respectively.  
    Signature/Titanium/Precious /Platinum
    Primary Card: NT$1,200 for each. Supplementary Card: NT$600 for each. Annual fee for the first year is waived. Annual fee for the coming year is waived if the accumulated spending or usage in the previous year has exceeded NT$30,000 or 6 times respectively. 
    Gold/Classic
    Primary Card: NT$600 for each. Supplementary Card: NT$300 for each. Annual fee for the first year is waived. 

Late charges:

  1. NT$300, if the payment is delayed for the first month NT$400, if the payment is delayed for the second month NT$500, if the payment is delayed for the third month (The late charge is limited to three consecutive months) 

Settlement of Foreign Transaction with Currency Conversion Fee:

  1. All the credit card transactions will be settled in NT dollars or agreed foreign currency. If the transaction currency (including refund) is not NT dollars, CHB will convert the amount to NT dollars or agreed foreign currency by using the exchange rate of the settlement date listed by the credit card organizations. The service fee includes a base transaction fee along with 0.5% of the transaction amount, and will be charged to the cardholder.

Statement retrieval fee:

  1. Statements in the latest 3 months are free of charge. If the cardholder is liable for the missing statement prior to the latest 3 months, a handling fee of NT$100 for each statement requested will be charged.

Debit Card:

  1. A Debit Card integrates the functions of payment, withdrawal, and money transfer into one single card. It is a worldwide payment instrument. Foreign nationals may apply for Debit Cards to our branches with IDs and secondary certificates (e.g. health insurance card, passport, driver's license or student's ID card, etc.).
