Chang Hwa Bank Sustainable Procurement Policy

Passed by the 29th Managing Directors Meeting of the 26th Board of Directors on January 22nd, 2021

  1. Based on the management principles of integrity, forthrightness, and stability, Chang Hwa Bank integrates corporate social responsibility into the Bank’s financial operations. The Bank strives for sustainable development for the company, society, and the environment. With consideration given to ISO standard 20400, “Sustainable procurement — Guidance”, the Bank has established this sustainable procurement policy. The intention is to reduce procurement risks and increase opportunities for innovation, in order to reach the goal of sustainable supply chain management: 
  2. 1. Integrate sustainability principles into procurement activities. 
  3. 2. Establish a transparent procurement process, and strictly forbid unethical conduct. 
  4. 3. Obey legal regulations and require that suppliers also obey them. 
  5. 4. Include consideration of human rights within every stage of the operational value chain. 
  6. 5. Prioritize procurement of products with low environmental impacts to reduce climate change and other risks. 
  7. 6. Encourage innovative and sustainable conduct by suppliers, and provide opportunities for fair competition. 
  8. 7. Invest resources into realizing sustainable procurement objectives. 
  9. 8. Guide the supply chain to develop toward sustainable operations
